We have published blogs on a range of topics in our first year as the .au namespace provider, from details surrounding the transition of the .au ccTLD to our helpful ‘What is..’ type articles.
After taking a look at our most viewed posts, we found out that these were the ones that you liked the most:
This is our top post from 2018! We were really excited to receive this honour and share the news with you all following the transition of over 3 million .au domain names on July 1st this year. We are now incredibly proud to hold the World Record Title of ‘largest migration of an internet top-level domain in a single transition’ so thank you for reading!
Coming in close second was the announcement of the completion of the .au TLD transition! This blog discusses the technical portion of the .au Registry Transformation Project and announces a new era of growth and vitality in the domain namespace.
It’s great to know that our audience is interested in learning more about registrars and how they operate. In 2008 VentraIP started business in their Co-Founders living room and now they are Australia’s largest private-owned domain name registrar and web-hosting provider!
This post looks at the 6 steps of a domain name lifecycle being Registration, the Grace Period, Policy Delete, Client Delete, Expiry and Drop and Purge and we follow “Lucy’s” experience as a first-time registrant.
As explained early on in this post, ‘WHOIS literally tells you “who is” the owner is of a domain name’. We give you tips on how to perform a WHOIS lookup and explains exactly what the tool can be used for.
So these were the top posts for the year! Stay tuned in 2019 for some more insights into the .au domain namespace.
